In our continuous effort to make Slideshow.com similar to PowerPoint on your desktop, we are proud to announce support for animations. Now presentations created with animations utilizing timing or clicks can be posted on Slideshow.com and still maintain those same animations you see on your desktop. This upgrade gives publishers and presenters the ability to present the same presentation from Slideshow.com as they would from their own desktop. Please click on our feature presentation on the home page to see an example of some animated features. You can also browse through our most recent decks to see multiple examples of animated presentations.
We will continue to work on growing the list of supported animations along with improvements to our embedded player for seamless integration into your blog or website. We have many upgrades planned for the future so please check back often for the next great update.
Please check our FAQ section for a more technical look into how animations work on Slideshow.com
Thank you

Slideshow.com is a platform that provides you with the ability to publish your PowerPoint presentations online, and share your ideas, passions and expertise with the world.
What is unique about Slideshow.com?
Slideshow.com’s rendering engine uses Microsoft Silverlight and will convert your presentation to high quality web documents. Microsoft Silverlight is a powerful development platform which provides the ability to create high resolution interactive web based documents. And since Silverlight is made by Microsoft it has better compatibility with Microsoft PowerPoint. This gives Slideshow the unique ability to display presentations at higher definition and support PowerPoint slide transitions. All you need to do is simply create an account and upload your presentations, we take care of the rest. Therefore, posting your presentation on Slideshow.com maintains the same look and feel of your original PowerPoint file.
Why publish your presentations online?
By putting your PowerPoint presentation on Slideshow.com you have opened a new channel of communication with the world. Share your knowledge with other business professionals, publish your ideas and content so they can be distributed on other web sites or blogs. Creating a portfolio of your PowerPoint presentations and posting them on Slideshow.com is the best way to enhance your online business identity. Slideshow.com is a perfect way to distribute materials regarding your product or service and connect with others who share your interest or are looking for your services. By posting your content on slideshow.com you can create a following and attract new clients.
Why use Slideshow.com rather than the competition?
The current online space has a variety of companies that offer online publishing of PowerPoint presentations. All of these companies use flash as their method of converting the Microsoft PowerPoint document into a web document for delivery. Slideshow uses Silverlight which unlike Flash will deliver the same high quality rendering of your presentation regardless of which browser or device is used. Silverlight also has the capability to stream your presentation allowing for improved timing and delivery of content and tighter integration of the different features offered by PowerPoint. Some of Silverlight’s features include, unlike flash, the ability to display high resolution images without any loss of fidelity. Silverlight also supports PowerPoint slide transitions, and since the web version of your presentation is virtually identical to the desktop version of your presentation you can present directly from Slideshow.com
We here at Slideshow will continue to improve the site and add new features and will create a seamless connection between desktop PowerPoint presentations and web based publishing of your PowerPoint content.
Thanks for visiting!
